The small camera revolution has begun and we are all a part of it. Revolutionaries, all of us! Personally I have been using a Canon G-10 for three years so far and loving every bit of it. Small, compact and 14.7 megapixels of digital point and shoot goodness! I guess my whole point with this is that photography is not about the equipment any more than building a house is about the hammer you use. Photography has never been about the tools and never was…it’s about you and how you see the world, your world! Vive le small camera!

Tiger loose in Brantford!

Mia Dorsey. Wife, mother, career woman, and…..professional model? Mia was the first to be photographed from the Dorsey Group in Brantford for their new billboard campaign. She set the bar very high as she was a complete natural in front of the camera! I wanted to end off the great shoot with a little fun so I asked her to give me the ‘tiger’, she did. We immediately new that this should be on a billboard! Perfect look combined with the talents of Lucas Duguid from Octopus Red and here we have it – a wicked advertisement! I’m pretty sure it took Lucas some time to convince them but I think the feed back will prove him right, a wise man once told me that ‘fortune favours the bold’ .
So in her modeling debut, we present to you…Mia Dorsey GRRRRRRR!

Montserrat

My mother in law recently ventured off to Montserrat, a small volcanic island in the Caribbean. After seeing the pictures and tasting the volcanic rum she brought us it is definitely now on our list of places to go to!We had to photograph this bottle before drinking it….how many people ever get to try volcano rum!

Elise & Jeff | Sneak Peek

Elise and Jeff have been waiting ever so patiently to see their engagement session images. Here’s a sneak peek as we barrell our way through our mountain of post production. Brantwood Farms was kind enough to let us use their property for this fall shoot. Brantwood Farms is a multigenerational family run farm that is reknowned in this area for great local produce. If you’re looking for something fun to do with the kids this weekend be sure to get over to Brantwood Farms and pick some apples or check out their halloween corn maze!
Elise and Jeff will be tying the knot in Brantford next June – looking forward to a great day with them!

Shady & Caroline | Mississauga Wedding

In all ours years doing this (since 1997), this was one of the most amazing wedding ceremonies ever and we are so happy we had an opportunity to experience it with such a great bunch of people! Shady and Caroline were married at Church of St. Mina and St. Kyrellos Coptic Orthodox Church in Mississauga Ontario. Their ceremony was truly a celebration that incorporated all the family and friends that attended.
It was an unforgettably hot summer day so shooting lakeside at Adamson Estate Park provided a little relief. The festivities continued on at Roma’s Hospitality Center with great food, music, and lot’s of dancing. We had a lot of fun with the wedding party, thanks for letting capture this spectacular day for you guys!

A bushel of Ontario peaches.

Well, added to our long list of preserves this year is a bushel of wonderful Ontario peaches. Ever wonder what a bushel of peaches looks like: 12 medium ziploc bags of frozen peaches, 1 batch of jam, 3 pies, and two fridge crispers full of peaches! Our little man has been loving the peaches with his cereal and we’ll be enjoying the taste of Ontario peaches all winter long!

Gary & Melissa | Paris Ontario Wedding

Gary and Melissa got married on a gorgeous hot day at the Paris Grand Golf and Country Club. Being the avid fishermen that they are, we took a little trip to the Grand River before returning to the beautiful golf course for some more photos. Thanks to Grand Experiences for letting use their back yard!
The Paris golf course is a great venue that offers indoor/outdoor ceremonies, great food and plenty of photo opps.
